The Mission:

You have just received an aircraft flight safety briefing and/or a high energy keynote presentation by a combat F-16 fighter pilot. Now it is time to put those wingman challenges to the test! You’ll need to get your game face on and learn how to get down to the basic air-to-air combat maneuvers. Your instructor pilot is there to coach you through these fight exercises. After your trial run you will be teamed up with your wingman associates, because the next time you are in the simulator you will be fighting for your team. Each member of the team will have a chance to represent the team against a worthy opponent. The best team member from each group who shows his/her superior flying skills will be promoted to represent the team in a final showdown.

Deliverables:

A mass briefing for "guest pilots" will include an instruction manual handout for the F-16 simulators covering instrumentation, the HUD, and weapon systems. One flight instructor per simulator will be assigned to coach the "guest pilots" through the flight operation. Score will be tallied for each "guest pilot" and totaled to determine the ACE for the DAY.

Transportation of equipment to and from event site, setup, tear down and FPUSA memorabilla are included.

The equipment used is a  sophisticated simulator that is currently being employed by the USAF for introductory fighter pilot training. Cost of units range from $14,000 and up. Designed and tested to provide maximum training fidelity with a minimum of cost. That is the Viper AT.

The basic Viper AT configuration includes the side and center consoles, ACESII ejection seat, HOTAS controllers, 15” heads-down touch screen display and 17” heads-up out the window display.

    * 42” heads-up out the window display
    * 2 Hi-performance computer systems
    * Hi-performance, HLA 1.3 compatible flight simulation  
    * Software license
    * Modified side stick controller with pressure transducers
    * Fully integrated and functional simulated LRUs
